Hello! I have a whole bunch of disclaimers for everyone, so please just be mindful. If you think this may trigger you, please do not read. (I know when I struggled with food these types of things always made me go to a bad place.) Also, I know when I watch some “what I eat in a day” videos, I’m skeptical. I just want to let y’all know that by no means am I lying about my eating habits because this post serves a very important purpose moving forward (but more on that later). Um, yeah, I think that’s it, so let’s get to it!
This is what I eat on a normal school day:
Breakfast always changes because I don’t get up at a consistent time. Oatmeal is a main staple of my brekkie. I usually just toss some frozen blueberries and chia seeds in oats, but when I have more time I go for brown sugar and apples. (Yum!) Other common breakfast foods are smoothies. My morning smoothie has been the same for 4 years: a banana, frozen blueberries, spinach, and protein powder. Of course, I cannot neglect another common breakfast of mine: a granola bar, for those days where I wake up with exactly 5 minuets and 20 second to get ready.
My lunch has pretty much never changed. For lunch, I eat a chobani yogurt, an apple, two clementines, pretzels and/or a cliff kids bar. This line up usually keeps me going until I get home after track/cross country practice.
This changes pretty often on my mood, hunger levels, or just what we have. Main staples are goldfish, cheese-itz, cookies, eggo waffles, and/or fruit. Keep in mind that I absolutely demolish these snack foods. Seriously, I will eat a whole box of goldfish, cheese-itz or cookies in 20 minutes. This is also the time I usually take my Flintstones vitamin.
Once again, this is not a constant because my mom (or father or sister or I) make pretty much a different meal every night. However, the most common meals (and my favorites) are: chicken with potatoes and brussel sprouts, veggie stir-fry, or an omelette. There are also nights where we are all out, so something quick like mozzarella sticks, frozen pizza, or grilled cheese will be for dinner.
I don’t eat dessert every night because most days I eat an insane amount of sweets before dinner, but on the days I do it’s usually something small. A candy bar, a few cookies, a scoop of ice cream…
That basically all I eat in a day! Of course, other stuff will pop up once in a while, but that’s the basics. As I mentioned in the intro, this post has a reason other than showing y’all my food intake. So keep an eye out!
