A Personal Q+A

Hello friends! It’s Meghan! I haven’t done a more personal post in a while, so I thought a little Q&A would be fun! I asked everyone over on Instagram to ask me anything that they wanted. So, you definitely want to make sure that you’re following me over there, so you don’t miss out on future interactive posts, relatable content, and more! Okay, let’s get to it…

Do you have a daily routine? What do you do?

Yes, I do! I actually have a whole post on this, but I like my days to be structured. Usually, I’ll do my morning routine, go to school, watch law and order, go for a run, do homework, and then relax!

Do you have any siblings? How do you get along with them?

Yes, I do! I have a twin sister and a younger sister who’s only 2 years younger than us. I’d like to think that we all get along well, but there certanly is a weird dynamic between us. Sometimes we (or they) are  really rowdy and other times we are actually nice to eachother.

If you either had to choose horseback riding, or the sport hammer throwing, which would you choose?

Horseback riding!! I used to ride when I was little, I actually was a little bit of a horse girl, but stopped once I got older and busier. It was definitely a lot of fun though and I’d love to start again one day!

Do you currently have a boyfriend?

No, I don’t really talk to boys either. I’m really just not all that interested at the moment.

What do you want to do when you’re older?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently, and I have three top choices: law, journalism, and marketing. I really want to do something where there’s opportunities to move up, and these are my three main areas of interest. My “dream dream” is to be a family attorney, but realistically I think I’m going to study marketing in college. Although, I’m only a sophomore, so I’m sure that’s going to change like 10 more times!

Why did you really start your blog?

I was in a really bad place, and felt like I had nothing going for me, so as I did every six months, I picked up a random passion project- blogging just happened to stick! There’s also the more public reasons, like the lack of teen advice blogs and my love of writing.

Why haven’t you told your parents about your blog and how have you managed to keep it a secret?

My dad really would not care, but my mom can be a little bit too involved. I really just don’t feel comfortable with them reading what I’m writing, which I know sounds stupid becuase I’m putting it up on the internet.

I really have to separate myself from my blog, which isn’t all that challenging because I never fully associate myself with anything, but it does make everything feel like it’s happening to someone else. Besides that, I write at night when no one is going to bother me (so I won’t have to lie) and keep to myself. If you want to read more about it, I go in-depth in THIS blog post.

Will you ever tell your parents about your blog?

I really don’t want to, but I also want to be able to reap the benefits of my work, so there will be a point when I will. I’m assuming I’ll willingly tell them next year when I’m starting to think about college and such. I know what the longer I wait, the harder it’s going to be, but I really like how it is right now.

Are you a clumsy person?

I don’t think anyone would describe me as clumsy, but I am definitely more accident prone than the average teenage girl!

Do you have a best friend?

No, I’m in a small friend group, but I wouldn’t say that I have a best friend. That used to really upset me, but I think I’m okay with it for now.

What made you love running and why did you start?

My mom ran in college, so she started to get me into it, especially when there were events at school, but I joined a team in 5th grade after one of my friends asked me! I think I really enjoyed it because I was good at it and it’s an individual sport, as I’m a pretty shy and independent person.

What is something you’ve always wanted to do, but never done?

So many things! This whole pandemic certainly ripped out part of our teen years, so there’s definitely going to be a lot of catching up to do! I just want to have simple experiences, going into the city with my friends, getting a job, going to parties, meeting new people…

That’s it for today! I hope that you enjoyed this post, and keep an eye out for a post I’m really excited for next Wednesday! Before you go, I want to get to know you! Introduce yourself in the comments and tell me something interesting about yourself!! Thanks for the questions and thanks for reading!

  3. Ah yes, like Zainab said, the blogger squad will always be here for you! I’ve been so inspired by your beautiful work lately. Your openness and vulnerability is definitely encouraging and promotes much healthier standards of living and being. Thanks for being you, for being real!

I definitely understand not wanting to tell your parents about your blog. My grandma reads my posts all the time and my parents both know about it but don’t read the posts. It used to upset me that they never seemed to have time but now I’m glad. I know there’d be lots of things particularly that my dad would disapprove of!
