Hello, fellow teens! My name is Meghan and I am starting this blog to release the insane amount of creative energy I get every few weeks. Is it just me, or does everyone feel like they need to achieve something huge and get a ton of motivation and then it goes away? Hopefully it’s not just me… Anyway, a quick little overview, synopsis if you will, of my blog is as follows: beauty, health/fitness, personal experiences, advice and my thoughts. In general, it will just be my teen life. To be completely honest, I have no idea what’s gonna happen or what I will be mainly writing about, but hopefully it will be good!
I was nervous to start a a blog for many reasons, one being that I’m not necessarily special. I’m not vegan, a star athlete, fashionable, or religious. While this has deterred me, I now see it as an advantage. There are a lot of “ordinary” teens out there who might have an easier time relating with me. Additionally, I’m not perfect. I’ve read blogs where the writers have this pure presence, like they have done nothing wrong in their entire lives. Not to shame anyone, I’m sure they are way better people than me, but my main point in that I’m gonna be real with you guys. I’ll share my mistakes, and possibly controversial opinions, and hopefully, it allows us to get closer, so this feels how any relationship does.
A little bit about me is that I am in high school. I absolutely love to run, I am on my school’s cross country and track (including indoor) teams. So I will probably talk about running a decent amount on here. I also really like to sing. In fall, I’m in a professional girls choir and in spring I participate in my school’s a cappella group, and take chorus as an elective year round. I have two sisters, and a dog, cat, and five rabbits. Not sure if it’s coming through in my writing, but I am SUPER shy. (Probably another topic I will tackle.) I think that’s all the main stuff, but of course as you follow along with my life, via blog posts, you’ll hopefully learn a lot more about me!
