My Favorite Things About Christmas

Hello friends!! Welcome to day 9 of my 12 Days of Blogmas! It’s Christamas eve eve eve, which is a huge throwbacak to elementary school! Speaking of school, I only have oe more day of school before we finally go on winter break. I’m actually so pissed that our break is so short compared to the majority of people I’ve talked to, but I’ll get to more of that in tommorow’s post. Today, I’m just going to chat about my favorite parts of Christmas!!

I’ve never been one for Christmas day after I figured out that my parents were, in fact, the ones who bought me gifts. While I support a magical man breaking into my house to give me presents, I’m someone who feels perpetually guilty about money, so a holiday revolving around presents makes me so uncomfortable!! What I really enjoy about Christmas is the holiday season.

Holiday vibes are the superior vibe. Everyone’s spirits are higher, and goodwill is brushed on people’s minds. Christmas gives me, and people in general, a reason to be happy. It’s not that I’m always unhappy, but the holiday season provides both a relief and distraction from problems that seem to always loom. 

Especially this year, it’s so important to have something to look forward to. Although, I do feel like not lot of people are truly excited about the holidays, and just convince themselves that they are. Either way, having a season dedicated to giving to others, being with people you love, and loads of special traditions really beneficial to most people. It just gives everyone a chance to slow down and focus on the important things in their lives, which is something that I love about this time.
