Hello friends! It’s finally the coveted spook season! That means many amazing things are happening, but for this post, we’re going to focus on Halloween! My first Halloween as a “teenager” (aka 13 year old me) I was ready to ditch the all-out costume and go for something different and trendy.” Of course, that meant painting myself green and wearing a short black dress to be the Wicked Witch of the West, but that’s besides the point.
There’s a delicate balance of wanting to look cute and wanting to embrace the holiday that I think many young teens struggle with. That’s why I gathered up 25+ costumes that fit that criteria! I’ve split them up into two categories, one being slightly more involved than the other. Now, these costumes would be fabulous as a group, but they would also suffice if you choose to fly solo. Whatever you do, you’re going to rock your look!!
Classics… with a twist
These costumes are for those who truly embrace Halloween. You and your friends will have a blast putting together a costume a younger you might have shown off, but this time it has a more mature feel. Perhaps a higher hem or a modern chic look of your favorite character!
Easy Tee-sy
To me, most of these costumes scream middle school. You know what I’m talking about, the solid colored tees and the coordinating tulle tutus. The costumes I’ve rounded up do not have the exact je ne sais quoi, but they are incredibly cute and take a whole lot less effort than the costumes above!
That’s it for now! You still have (hopefully) a week or two before Halloween to duke wit out with your friends as to what y’all are going to dress up as this year! What a cute post! I haven’t dressed up for halloween in quite a while, probably not since 2018. I just bought a skeleton girl costume from spotlight, haha. It was quite over the top, as you can probably imagine!

These are all such cute ideas! I usually diy my own costume and buy a few things if I need it. It’s going to be hard to choose a costume if it snows on Halloween where I live! 😂 I’ll have to look back on this post for costume inspiration this year!
