Ultimate Self Care Day Guide

Hello friends! As I mentioned in my last blog post, this week is mental health awareness week. On Wednesday, I gave y’all some ways to spread kindness, which is great and all, but it’s mostly beneficial to others. I want to make sure that you’re taken care of too! So, spend some time on yourself. It doesn’t have to be a full day, but take some time to focus on you. Below you’ll find different self care activities grouped in a (dare I say) “original” way. I completely understand that may not be the type that can slow down a pamper yourself, so when putting this together I tried to think of activities for each personality type, or whatever you may feel like doing at the moment.

Pampering

Spending sometime on yourself should not be a luxury, but we can still make that time feel luxurious. Treat yourself as amazing as you are and thank your body and mind through activities like the following:

  1. Take a bath
  2. Do a face or hair mask
  3. Try a new hair style
  4. Stretch
  5. Paint your nails
  6. Try a new make up look
  7. Do some online shopping
  8. Indulge in a sweet

Productivity

Honestly, sometimes it’s more stress reducing to get stuff done then to put it off and do a face mask. Checking something off of your to-do list will feel so good, and it will lift a little bit of weight off of your shoulders. Here are some ideas, that are probably on your to-do list, and won’t take that long to do:

  1. Deep clean your room
  2. Create new outfits from your wardrobe
  3. Clean off your work space
  4. Go through your emails
  5. Meal prep
  6. Exercise
  7. Do the dishes
  8. Wash your sheets
  9. Make your bed
  10. Create a budget

Creativity

We often put the things we love to the side and neglect them. Now is a perfect time to reconnect with an old hobby. Set time aside and do something that you love. Release your creative energy through activities like sewing, baking, or coloring.

Relaxation

Relaxation is similar to pampering, but focuses more on your mind than your body. We often forget to stop the never ending cycle of work. Take some time to unwind with activities like these:

  1. Journal
  2. Find a new podcast
  3. Watch Netflix
  4. Meditate
  5. Listen to music
  6. Read
  7. Spend time with your pet

Of course you don’t need to stick to one category. You do you— mix and match! I also made this little graphic organizer aka “self care day menu” for you to use. It’s super simple, choose one or more activities from each sections to build your own ultimate self care day!! If you choose to use it, let me know over on Instagram!

Before I leave you I just wanted to reiterate the importance of self care. Please, take the time to do something for yourself. I hope you got some inspiration and for your next self care day! Stay safe and look after yourself!

  1. Love this so much! 🙌 The self-care day menu is so neat and I will definitely use it when I’m at a loss on what to do and need that form of escapism 💫 I spent most of the day knitting for the first time in years and I had forgotten how tiring focusing on it can be 😂 it was a good way for me to take my mind off stuff. Great post! 💕

      1. I’m hoping to make a scarf, the wool I’m using is really fluffy and has these odd tendrils that make it difficult to figure out where each stitch is but I’m really enjoying it! 😄💕

We are too caught up with school, work, and other things that we forget the importance and the power of self-care, treating yourself, giving yourself time to breathe. 😅 Thank you so much for sharing these! I especially love the self-care day menu. It’s very creative! 💖 I can’t wait to read more!!!
